The Founder

Meet the founder and chief photographer, Javier Edwards.

"Back in 2009, I was a college freshman, majoring in electrical engineering - that year I purchased my first DSLR camera, with the general goal of capturing nice images of my sneakers.

I had no idea that I'd just purchased the most important device of my life - and the key to open the door to, what would become, my dream career.

El Roi, translated from Hebrew, literally means “God who sees”. The name is an ode and exaltation of the God of the Holy Scriptures.

In Genesis 21, God saw a women’s affliction and helped her. She would then call Him El Roi - “God who see’s me.”

And if God sees, surely there must be a divine perspective - a globally divine aesthetic.

That’s my aim. I want to see and capture life through the lens of El Roi - with sanctified excellence.

I want to work with passionate, creative brands, and individuals, to create compelling visual content.
Content that viewers value and enjoy and that the creators take pride in.

What are you waiting for? Let's create togeteher. " - Javier Edwards
